This facility is experiencing serious decline going down the hell. The quality of food is horrible and so call "Executive Director's" leadership has become a major concern!!!This Executive Director does not respond to phone calls or emails and repeatedly fails to follow through on commitments.

She has made numerous promises to the resident council, assuring residents that necessary items and services are available. However, even basic supplies such as **Kleenex** have been unavailable during peak of this flu season. Residents have repeatedly requested meetings with her, yet she remains unavailable.

Many residents feel ignored and disrespected. The general sentiment among residents is one of dissatisfaction and frustration.

It is unacceptable that a senior living facility does not consistently provide essential items such as toilet paper. At Holi, residents have been forced to wait in bathrooms until HOLI TOILET PAPER is delivered. Additionally, residents are no longer provided paper towels and are required to supply their own towels. These are basics needs.

Meals are frequently late, and constant staffing shortages continue to impact service quality. The Executive Director’s door is consistently closed, reinforcing the perception that resident concerns are not a priority. How can bad tempered, irritable, tunnel visioned person became the ED in a senior living ????????

This level of leadership is not appropriate for a senior living community. IMMEDIATE action is needed to address these issues and restore basic standards of care, communication, and accountability.

I put my wife in there 4 mths ago. I had looked at 5 different places. It’s not perfect but no place is. In these places you need to be your own advocate. These places are always short of staff. Lots of turn over. Food is ok you’re not in a 5 star restaurant. It’s kept clean and they do a good job of helping the residents.

I’m so grateful I found HOLI Senior Living, thanks to the timely support of Sarah Harwood at Right Fit Senior Living Solutions. I would wholeheartedly recommend Sarah to anyone seeking a senior care advisor in the Portland area. She’s a good listener, a genuinely kind person, and incredibly knowledgeable about care options and potential solutions.
In my case, I was under intense pressure to find a new living arrangement for my ailing father within a matter of days. Visiting HOLI at Sarah’s suggestion was a huge relief—because honestly, it felt like the right fit for my dad almost immediately. Everything I saw and heard during the tour impressed me: the quality of care, the tree-lined streets with the nearby nature park, the friendly staff, the well-prepared meals, the clean and spacious common areas, and the abundance of natural light from the large windows.
My dad has been living at HOLI for three months now, and he is thriving. He feels safe, cared for, and comfortable. Thank you, Sarah—and many thanks to the wonderful team at HOLI!

UPDATE: The person who replied and requested I contact them by email never responded to me. Their Regional Director has been CC'ed on numerous emails to the facility director, and refuses to respond.

I'm still waiting for answers to questions I asked before my mama moved in on Sept. 19. The exec. director, Tami Alexander, insists she's answered them all. She has not.
She got so tired of me calling her cell phone for things she said were not related to my mom, that she reported me for Telephonic Harassment. She then had the audacity to request a welfare check on me from my local law enforcement.
My mom fell for the 4th time in as many weeks yesterday. The message I received from the lead med tech was, "Your mom fell, she went to hospital, she has skin tear on elbow".
When I spoke with him (he's practically impossible to understand) it was necessary for me to ask specific questions in order to get answers - "Where was she when she fell?", "What side?", "Did she break anything?", "Did she hit her head?".
She was in her room. Right side. Skin tear at elbow. She "maybe hit forehead".
Well, she shattered the right side of her face - mandible, sinus, orbital, etc. Her eye isn't entrapped, but she has some compartment syndrome.
She has no idea it happened. She hasn't seen herself today. She can close her jaw properly, but she can't eat because of the pain.
There's no one available to answer my questions. There's no one to tell what or if she had any OTC meds this morning. There's no one to tell me if she's properly hydrated. Nada.
They did not send her back with any pain medication.
It took 5 hours before I got a call from Tuality/OHSU Hillsboro. They know I live 1.5 hours away. Fortunately, I recently hired a wonderful woman who is a Death Doula, to provide companionship, etc. She got my mom back to HOLI from the hospital.
I've had a broken jaw and lower orbital. I didn't bruise at either trauma. I had NO swelling when I shattered my lower orbital. Hurt like crazy, though. I was given Tylenol3 when I broke my jaw.
My mom's quite diminutive. This photo doesn't come close to showing the level of swelling. The hospital could not get her contact out.
To this day, HOLI staff at every level continue to lie about the first fall, despite the hospitalist noting "reported fall".
We are a culture of greed and mediocrity, if you can call that a culture. It's so deeply imbedded, our chances of recovering any decency are slim.
I'm sorry the system is so broken that the staff at a facility where I pay a base rate of $10,400/month, are so undervalued, they've ceased caring.
I cared for my mama for seven years without one lick of help, except a woman who'd sit with her when I ran errands. I had one night off in seven years. I'd still be at it, but I couldn't keep her safe.
Obviously, HOLI can't either.

I have been battling to get decent food at this place we have resident council
Townhall meetings, the residents are constantly complaining, and asking that they fix our menus our food situation and our lack of staff. There’s always a lot of talk of how this is being done and yet it remains the same. I intend to leave Holi asap but grieve for residents who cannot leave. This place could be a great
Place to live but managed so poorly that you would think they were on the verge of shutting down too bad the owners don’t recognize just how bad it’s gotten around here and step in to do something about it These residents pay upwards of 6,7k to live here and are treated like they are recipients of a charity How dare our Senior citizens be treated like this! Well to be fair the food has gotten better sort of The lunches and dinner have improved. I actually enjoyed both lunch and dinner yesterday. However, breakfast is another matter this morning I was served an egg that looked like it had been poured in a muffin pan and baked in the oven three turkey sausages that were so dried out and so lacking flavor that I refuse to eat them, I did like the little bit of fruit on my plate and the raisin toast, when I asked about why we were being served eggs that were baked in a muffin pan and served to us like this not only did it not look good, but they felt rubbery. I was told by the cook that he was doing the best that he could, I don’t think so, let him present this breakfast to someone that he felt was importance. I’m sure that it wouldn’t look like this so obviously he does not feel that the residence at this facility deserve anything better or he’s just too lazy to make it look and taste appetizing. He did mention that they were lacking staff, which is true we had no servers and as we had complained about being served food on plates, that were too small, and being given plasticware instead of silverware as you can see from my picture, we are eating with plastic utensils is this because they can’t afford to buy a simple set of silverware or is it because they don’t have the staff to collect the dishes and wash them I don’t know what I do know is that the residence are not going to continue to put up with this type of treatment there are other places to live that will show that they are important and valued by providing adequate staffing, as well as good food hope this place shapes up and hires enough staff so that our excellent care givers who are told that the residents that they love and care for are not their family so don’t act like they are and told to pick up the pace to cover for staff they fired and didn’t bother to replace while they are bringing in even more residents for them to take care of only an idiot would not see where this is going🤷🏽‍♀️

My mother is now living in the memory care space at Holi and she is doing very well. The staff is wonderful and are taking great care of my mom. The staff keep her busy and engaged and she is never in her apartment alone, always out in the community living area socializing and participating in activities. The facility is beautiful and open and bright and clean. We feel my mom is safe and happy and well cared for. The food that is being prepared always smells so delicious. I appreciate you all! Thank you so much.
